Is the Bible Relevant Today?

Recently a single woman, thirty one years old, was expressing her dismay at the relaxed sexual ethic in the church. A virgin herself, she finds herself regularly bombarded with the argument, "The Bible is a great book for general guidance, but it isn't relevant for today.
